Welcome to the Roxboro Police Department website. 

As leaders of the community, we will perform our duties with the utmost respect and equality for all citizens. Therefore, it is the mission of the Roxboro Police Department to work in partnership with the community to reduce fear, combat crime and improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods.  We will do this with integrity and sound judgement in order to uphold the law fairly and firmly with best interest of the community in mind.

City of Roxboro Recognized as two time North Carolina's Top 100 Safest Cities 

Over the past several years, the police department staff worked diligently with strategic partners to implement nationally recognized best practices to reduce crime.  In 2017, the City of Roxboro made the Safe Wise Safest Cities list for the first time in city’s history ranking 93 of 100.  In 2021, the city rose to the Top 70 Safest Cities. 

The police department’s efforts continue to show positive dividends for effective strategies that reduce crime, helping to make Roxboro a safe community.
