HOW TO USE THIS CODE

IF YOU OWN PROPERTY AND WANT TO KNOW WHAT RULES APPLY:
Step 1 - Find your zoning district by looking at the Official Zoning Map, located at City Hall and accessible on the Person County GIS website.
Step 2 - Go to Article 6, Zoning Districts, to review details on density, minimum lot size, setbacks, and required yards for the zone that applies to your property. Additionally, consult the Table of Uses and Activities, also in Article 6, for details on uses permitted on your property. If the use is listed with Supplemental Regulations in the right-hand column, read those notes in Article 7 for additional use standards that may apply.
IF YOU WANT TO BUILD OR ESTABLISH A PARTICULAR USE:
Step 1 - After determining what specific type of development you wish to propose, consult the Table of Uses and Activities in Article 6 of the UDO to determine where that use is allowed within the City of Roxboro.
Step 2 - If your property, or the property you are considering for purchase or lease, is located in an approved zone for your specific use, follow the link to the City's permitting portal to complete the appropriate land use application online.
Step 3 - If your property, or the property you are considering for purchase or lease, is NOT located in an approved zone for your specific use, you may request a Text Amendment to the Ordinance or a Rezoning Request for your property. Applications for these requests may be found under the "Ordinance Amendments" tab to the left of this screen.
IF YOU WANT TO SUBDIVIDE/RECOMBINE PROPERTY:
Property can be only be subdivided in accordance with the procedures set forth in Article 5.
