Current Plans and Studies
The purpose of planning is to work with residents and elected officials to maximize the health, safety, and welfare of the residents and visitors of the community. In order to do this, the Planning and Development Department engages in many long-range planning efforts to prepare studies and plans that will direct the community in how it should grow and what changes may be required to meet the needs of the community for years ahead.
Below are the current plans and studies adopted by the City of Roxboro for planning purposes;
- Joint Comprehensive Land Use Plan (adopted with Person County) - 2021
- Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan - 2020
- Comprehensive Transportation Plan (adopted with Person County) - 2011
- Pedestrian & Bicycle Plan - 2025 (Appendices)
- Uptown Roxboro Strategic Streetscape Plan - 2023 (Appendices)
