Criminal Investigation Unit Report


Investigators have been working on a number of cases in recent months. The breaking & entering cases that occurred in District I were solved and three (3) individuals were arrested in connection with those.
Investigators continue to attend training sessions in areas such as Fraud Investigations, Facial Recognition and crime prevention.

Det. Daye, working with Federal Authorities, has identified a suspect who has been passing counterfeit $ 20.00 and $ 50.00 bills in the City. The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.

The Person County Sheriff’s Office discovered several stolen vehicles and other property stolen from Roxboro. Det. Shull, working with Sheriff Office Investigators, has arrested and charged two subjects with breaking and entering and larceny.

Sgt. Jones is continuing his presentations with regard to Identity Theft and Fraud. He is conducting information sessions at area churches, the senior center and public service announcements.
