Police Officer:
Performs law enforcement
work in the municipal Police Department.
Must be a citizen of US, 21 years of age, high
school graduate, preferably a two-year associate
degree and no criminal record, except for minor
traffic offenses. Good moral character and
good physical condition. Chosen applicant
will be certified as a police officer upon
completion of 504+ hours of Basic Law
Enforcement Training, drug screening, medical
and psychological examination, background
investigation, and fingerprint check.
Applicants may apply without Basic Law
Enforcement Training, however, preference will
be given to applicants that have completed 504 +
hours of Basic Law Enforcement Training.
Hiring rate: $33,269.
Applicants without Basic Law Enforcement Training
will be hired two salary grades below hiring rate of
Police Officer.

Wastewater Treatment
Plant Laboratory Technician:
Collects and
analyzes
waste samples for
chemical, bacteriological, and physical content.
Set up and operate lab apparatus,
instrumentation, and
equipment. Perform analysis, calculate and
record results as required by in-house needs and
the Environmental Protection Agency and the
North Department of Environment Natural
Resources. Work is performed under the
supervision of Laboratory Supervisor.
Applicants must possess a valid driver's license
and a high school diploma. Also, must have two
years training in bacteriology and chemistry or
related sciences at an approved technical
college, at (2) years experience in wastewater
laboratory work is preferred.
Safety-sensitive
position. Hiring rate: $28,739
