Garbage Collection
The City of Roxboro provides curbside garbage and trash collection for the residents of Roxboro. To find out when your garbage or trash is to be collected please call Clearinghouse at 336-599-5658.
Guidelines for Refuse Collection
All grass. leaves. hedge trimmings and small items should be bagged, boxed or containerized in approved containers. (Loose leaves will be collected during the month of October 1 through March by the City of Roxboro)
Limbs should not exceed 6 feet in length and must be less than 6 inches in diameter
No stumps or whole tree trunks will be picked up
Never mix household trash in with your yard waste
All trash should remain back of the curbing and not in the streets. because this is very hazardous to traffic
No construction, remodeling or demolition material will be picked up White goods such as appliances should be called in to Roxboro's Clearinghouse at 599 5658 for collection
If you regularly have more household garbage than will fit into your container, please call 599-5658 to get another one. If possible, no trash should be left outside of the rollout container.

Street & Facility Maintenance
The City of Roxboro is responsible for over 35 miles of streets. Not all of the streets in the city are the City's responsibility. North Carolina Department of transportation is responsible for over 20 miles of streets. These include US and NC highways plus other streets that begin in the City and end in the county.
Grounds Maintenance
Grounds Maintenance crews are responsible for the upkeep of the City's cemeteries, Welcome to Roxboro sign and City buildings. The City has 4 cemeteries to maintain. This includes mowing grass, picking up leaves and removing dead flowers. There are two Welcome to Roxboro signs, Durham Road and Burlington Road that are maintained by city crew.
City Vehicle Maintenance
The City garage is located at 779 Mountain Road at the Public Services Facility. The garage has over 100 pieces of equipment to maintain including fire trucks, police car and backhoes.
